Ingredients for Kovakka Thoran Recipe

Kovakka(Gherkins) � 200 gm
Coconut � � of one
Small onions(Kunjulli) � � cup
Green chillies � 5 nos
Turmeric powder � � tsp
Mustard seeds � 1 tsp
Small onions � 3 � 4 nos
(finely chopped for seasoning)
Curry leaves � A few
Dry red chillies(Kollamulaku) � 2 -3 nos
Salt � As reqd
Coconut oil � 3 tbsp





Preparation Method of Kovakka Thoran Recipe
1)Clean the kovakka very well and cut them into small pieces. 2)Add to it the finely chopped small onions, green chillies, salt and turmeric powder. 3)Place it in a vessel along with � glass of water and allow it to cook. 4)Pound together the grated coconut and curry leaves in a mixer bowl. 5)Heat oil in a pan or a kadai. 6)Splutter mustard seeds and saut� finely chopped small onions, dry red chillies and curry leaves. 7)Add the cooked kovakka and the coconut mixture and mix well. 8)Cook further, till done.
