Gram flour(Kadalamavu) - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 1/2 cups
Preparation Method of Mysore Pak Recipe
1)Take a wok and heat it up.
2)Roast the gram flour until it becomes light brown in colour and keep it aside.
3)Melt ghee in a bowl and mix the roasted or fried gram flour with ghee.
:- Make sure there are no lumps left.
4)Take a thick bottom vessel.
Put sugar and add little water to make sugar syrup(the consistency should be thread-thin).
5)Next, pour ghee and gram flour into the sugar syrup and mix well.
6)Let it come up for 1 or 2 times .
7)Grease a plate with ghee and pour this mixture on it. Cut them in the shape of the diamonds.

this method is traditional and works well enough.. however one or two important points are a: that the amount of sugar determines whether the mysore pak will turn out soft or hard.. more the sugar the softer it gets..
secondly; the final stage when you have to get it out of the heat is very critical and could make a disaster .. either make it into a guey mass or to fine charcoal powder ! THe preparation method will lead to just normal Mysore Pak. for the first timer it may look excellant, Proportions are not appropriate the fist timer can just be happy they have made similar to Mysore Pak, and the one who presented the name andra may not aware of other state/places for the best Mysore Pak go to Sri Krishna Sweets save time and money and the best quality

Kindly clarify the 3rd statement. When mixing the basen with gee, should the bowl be on the flam? Also it would be nice if you can include the amount of water needed to make the syrum.

Hey Mysore Pak is from Mysore, Karnataka. I`m basicaly from Mysore and know this fact! However this is prepared and relished in entire South India. What difference does it make from where it is originated, given that it is so tasty? Enjoy maadi :)
