Cashew Nuts(sliced) - 1 heaped tbsp
Almonds(sliced) - 1 heaped tbsp
Golden Raisins - 1 heaped tbsp
Ghee - 4 tbsp
Semolina or Rava or Cream of wheat - 1 cup or 125 grams
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Yellow food color - a few drops
Preparation Method of Suji Halwa/Rava Kesari Recipe
1)Heat ghee in a pan and fry the raisins.
2)When the raisins begin to plump up, put the sliced almonds and cashews. Stir for 30 seconds.
3)Add the 125 grams of semolina to this and keep stirring. Make sure that you keep stirring, otherwise it can get burned.
4)When the aroma of rava(semolina) can be smelt, add the sugar and keep stirring.
5)After the sugar gets dissolved, add a few drops of yellow food color as per requirement.
6)Add water to this mixture and keep stirring.
7)When the water evaporates partially and the mixture becomes thick, pour it into an oil-greased serving dish and let it cool.
8)Keep it in the refrigerator and after 6 hours, this can be cut into any shape and eaten.
