Kerala Kinnathappam is a traditional Eid/ramadan sweet dish made during special occasions. Kerala Kinnathappam is a soft, spongy, yet a little firm cardamom flavored sweet snack. Mostly made by muslim population, Kerala Kinnathappam is a tasty favorite with all for both young as well as old. Ponni rice is soaked and ground to a fine paste without any lumps. Thick coconut milk with essential ingredients is added to the rice batter and steamed to make Kinnathappam.
