  1. Separate the seeds from the whole Amarakka as shown in the below picture.
  2. Wash and then cook the seeds for about 10-15 minutes in the pressure cooker.
  3. Heat some oil in a Kadai (Cheenachatti) and then put the Onion, Ginger and Garlics pieces into it and stir it for 2-3 minutes.
  4. When the colour of the Onion, Ginger and Garlics turns into golden, put the Tomato pieces into this mix.
  5. Stir the mix for 3 – 5 minutes.
  6. Then add the Coriander powder, Garam masala and Turmeric powder into this mix and stir it further.
  7. After 2-3 minutes put the cooked Amarakka seeds and water into this mix and allow to boil it for another 10-15 minutes.
  8. After boiling the mix for about 15 minutes, put off the stove and the Avarakka seeds curry is ready.
  9. This can be served with Poori / Dosa / Chappathi etc.
