Basic Potato Gnocchi
Mashed potato mixed with maida flour and egg. The dough is sliced into small pieces and boiled in water.

  1. For preparing basic potato gnocchi, first boil the potatoes. Peel the skin and mash it with fork.2)Add the flour, salt and make a small space in between.3)Add egg and knead the mixture into a dough.
  2. In a board spread some flour. Place the dough and cut into long pieces.5)Again cut into small pieces. Shape the surface with a fork as shown in image.
  3. Keep this aside for 5 minutes.7)In a vessel take sufficient water. Add salt.8)When water starts to boil, add the pieces 1 by 1.9)When it floats, the gnocchi is ready.
  4. This is the basic potato gnocchi. Serve with sauces.
