Ingredients
- Beaten rice - 1 cup
- Onion(chopped finely) - 1 no
- Green chillies(slit) - 2 nos
- Carrot(grated) - 1 tbsp
- Beans(chopped finely) - 1 tbsp
- Coconut(grated) - 4 tbsp
- Curry leaves(A spring) -
- Split Black gram(Uzhunnu parippu) - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- For preparing beaten rice upma, roast beaten rice in a pan and keep it aside.
- In the same pan, heat coconut oil and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add in the split black gram and curry leaves.
- Saute onions, beans, carrot and green chillies.
- Then add the roasted beaten rice and mix it well.
- Cook on low flame till it cooks.
- Beaten rice upma is ready. Serve hot.
