  1. Grind beetroot and onion separately in a mixer grinder.
  2. :- Do not grind them into a paste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  4. Add cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick.
  5. Add the coarsely ground beetroot and onion.
  6. Add salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder and ginger-garlic paste.
  7. Fry it on a medium flame for about 15 mins.
  8. Add coconut powder and fry, until the raw smell is gone.
  9. Add garam masala powder and stir well.
  10. Remove from the flame.
