Easy to prepare bhindi curry

Ingredients
  • Ladies finger cut into 1”pcs : 100 gm –
  • Coconut (grated) : ½ coconut
  • tamarind : ½” ball –
  • Whole red chilies ; 6 – 8nos
  • Tomato cut into large pcs : 1 no –
  • Rye : ½ tsp –
  • Curry leaves Few –
  • Oil : 2 tsp –
  • Salt : as reqd –
Instructions
  1. Grind the grated coconut, tamarind and whole red chillies to a fine paste.
  2. Transfer the paste to a deep pan and add 2 – 2½ cups water. (add water according to the consistency of the gravy required)
  3. Add the cut ladyfinger and tomato to the coconut paste and cook uncovered on a low flame for 15 minutes or till the ladies finger is cooked.
  4. Heat oil in a small pan. Add rye and when it begins to splutter add the curry leaves and pour the tempering on the ladies finger curry.

  6. Serve with steamed rice.
