Ingredients
- Black lentils(soaked over night) - 175 g
- Red split lentils - 50 g
- Double cream(heavy) - 1/2 cup
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Onion(finely chopped) - 1 no
- Ginger(paste) - 2 inch
- garlic( crushed) - 2 cloves
- Green chilly(finely chopped) - 4 nos
- Tomatoes(chopped) - 400 g
- Corn flour - 1 tsp
- Chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
- Cumin seeds(powdered) - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves(finely chopped) - 2 springs
- Ghee - 3 tbsp
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- For preparing black lentils in yogurt, drain the black lentils and place in a large pan with the red lentils.
- Cover it with water and allow it to cook. Keep it aside to cool.
- In a bowl, mix together cream, yogurt and corn flour. Pour it into the lentils in the pan.
- Heat 1 tbsp of the ghee in a large pan.
- Fry the onion, ginger, 2 green chillies and tomato until the onion is soft.
- Add in cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt. Saute for 2 minutes.
- Stir it into the lentil mixture and mix well. Reheat, transfer to a heatproof serving dish and keep warm.
- Heat the remaining ghee in a frying pan over a low heat and fry the garlic and remaining green chillies until the garlic becomes golden brown.
- Pour it over the lentils and mix well.
- Black lentils in yogurt is ready. Serve immediately.
