  • Broccoli florets – 500g
  • Garam masala 1/2tsp
  • Chickpea flour – 1/2cup
  • Chilly powder – 1/4tsp
  • Coriander powder 1/2tsp
  • Cumin seeds(ground) – 1/2tsp
  • Baking powder 1/4tsp
  • Cashews(chopped) – 50g
  • Shallots(chopped, Kunjulli) – 2nos
  • Vegetable oil(As reqd) –
  • Water 1/2cup
  • Fresh coriander(Few, chopped) –
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  1. Sift together garam masala, chickpea flour, cumin, baking powder and chilly powder into a bowl.
  2. Add water and little oil and combine well to make a smooth batter.
  3. Add chopped shallots, cashew nuts and chopped coriander leaves. Mix together and combine the batter well.
  4. Heat oil in a saucepan. Dip each broccoli in the batter and deep fry until golden brown.
  5. Broccoli cashew crispies are ready and serve hot with mint chutney.
