Butter Chicken- I have tried several recipes for this, but this is the one which was easier and the dish came out tasty too, my family and friends just loved

  1. Marinate chicken pieces with salt, 1/2 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder,coriander powder and pepper powder.
  2. Shallow fry until golden brown.
  3. In the same kadai, saute onion, ginger-garlic paste and green chillies.
  4. When onions turn golden brown, add crushed kasuri methi, salt, tomatoes and cashew nut.
  5. Saute for 3 – 4 minutes.
  6. Add enough water and cook covered.
  7. When tomatoes are well cooked, transfer to a blender and grind until the mixture is smooth.
  8. :- Please make sure the mix has cooled before you transfer to blender.
  9. Heat up a kadai.
  10. Add butter followed by the blended mixture and the chicken pieces.
  11. Let it simmer so that the chicken pieces absorb the sauce and will be realy juicy.
  12. Add cream, food color (red),tomato ketchup and sugar for balancing the taste.
  13. :- Do not add more tomatoes to get the colour because it will not give the red color and will be more sour.
  14. :- Goes well with hot naan, chappathi, roti, or even ghee rice.
