Ingredients
  • Basmati rice(cooked) – 2cups
  • Carrots(medium) – 4nos
  • Onion 2nos
  • Cinnamon(Karugapatta) – 3nos
  • Cloves(Grambu) – 3nos
  • Cardamom(Elakka) – 3nos
  • Coriander seeds(roasted and powdered) – 1½
  • Cumin seeds(roasted and powdered)(Jeerakam) – ¼tsp
  • Red chillies(roasted and powdered)(Kollamulaku) – 2tsp
  • Grated Coconut 2tbsp
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  • Cooking oil 2dsp
Instructions
  1. Put the carrots in hot water for about 2 – 3 mins and then, grate it.
  2. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  3. Add the spices and fry.
  4. Add sliced onions and sautT.
  5. Add the grated carrots and sautT, till you get rid of the raw taste.
  6. :- You can add a little water too, if reqd.
  7. Add the powdered masala and salt and sautT for 3 – 4 mins.
  8. Add cooked rice and grated coconut and mix well.
