  1. For preparing chick peas cutlets, soak the chick peas overnight and pressure cook it in salt water. Drain it and mash it with a fork.
  2. In a bowl, add mashed chick peas, onion, garlic, salt, chilly powder, carrot, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, garam masala, pepper powder, cumin powder and curry leaves. Mix it well with your hands.
  3. Then add in the oats powder and combine it well.
  4. Make small balls and make cutlet shapes. Keep them aside.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the cutlets till brown in colour on low flame.
  6. Chick peas cutlets are ready. Serve hot with tea.
