- Chicken(chopped) - 1/2 kg
- Green chillies(slit) - 6 nos
- Ginger(finely chopped) - 2 tbsp
- Pepper powder - 6 tsp
- Chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cinnamon(powdered, Karugapatta) - 1 inch
- Cardamom(powdered, Elakka) - 6 nos
- Cloves(powdered, Grambu) - 6 nos
- Lime juice - 1 1/2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves(chopped) - 2 springs
- Curry leaves - 2 springs
- Coconut oil(As reqd) -
- Salt(As reqd) -

Instructions
- For preparing chicken pepper dry fry, in a bowl mix in green chillies, ginger, pepper powder, cinnamon powder, cloves powder, cardamom powder, chilly powder, turmeric powder, lime juice, coriander leaves, curry leaves and salt.
- Marinate the chicken pieces in the above masala for 1/2 an hour.
- Put the marinated pieces with the masala and 1/2 cup water in a vessel. Allow it to cook till done.
- Remove it from the flame.
- Separate the chicken pieces from the gravy.
- In a deep frying pan heat oil and fry the chicken pieces.
- Put the fried chicken pieces into the gravy and allow it to simmer for 10 minutes.
- Pour the remaining coconut oil into the gravy and mix it well. Remove it from the flame.
- Chicken pepper dry fry is ready. Serve hot.
