Chicken Pitta Bread Filling!

  • Pitta breads – 6nos
  • Onion(Chopped, large) – 1no
  • Curry leaves 8nos
  • Jeera seeds – 1tsp
  • Chilli powder 1tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1tsp
  • Chicken breast(can use leftover roasted chicken) –
  • Mixed vegetables –
  • Eggs(Optional) – 2nos
  • Cheese(Optional) –
  • Oil 3tbsp
  • Salt
  1. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed frying pan.
  2. Add jeera seeds, Onion, curry leaves and stir well untill onion turns to brown.
  3. Add chicken, chilli and turmeric powder.
  4. Add mixed vegetables along with salt and stir it well.
  5. :- If you are using leftover roasted chicken then you can add vegetables right after adding chicken or else wait till raw chicken gets half cooked then you can add your mixed vegetables along with salt.
  6. :- Since egg is an optional ingrediet, it is your preference either to add it or to have the filling as it is now.
  7. :- The best part of this recipe is, you can even try this without chicken and just with vegetables and eggs. Then just add handful of grated cheddar cheese to get a melty texture and great taste.
  8. :- You can have this filling with Pitta bread, chapati, naan, wraps and also as sandwich filler.
