  • Chicken(cleaned and chopped) – 1kg
  • Onion(finely sliced, big) – 3nos
  • Tomatoes(chopped) – 2nos
  • Ginger(garlic paste – 1 tbsp) –
  • Mango/Amchur powder – 3tbsp
  • Chilly powder – 1tbsp
  • Garam masala 1tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1tsp
  • Chicken soup cube – 1no
  • Curry leaves 2springs
  • Coriander leaves(chopped) – 5springs
  • Sesame oil(As reqd) –
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  1. For preparing chicken with amchur, heat the sesame oil in a vessel.
  2. Saute the onions till it becomes transparent.
  3. Add in ginger-garlic paste and chicken soup cube. Saute for 2 minutes on low flame.
  4. Then add chilly powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and salt(if required).
  5. Toss in the tomatoes, curry leaves and amchur powder. Saute for 5 minutes on low flame till it becomes pulpy.
  6. Stir in the chicken pieces. Mix it well, cover the pan and allow it to cook.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves. Mix it well and remove it from the flame.
  8. Chicken with amchur is ready. Serve hot with bread, chapatti, porotta etc.
