  • Chicken(chopped) – 1kg
  • Onions(sliced) – 3nos
  • garlic(crushed) – 3cloves
  • Chilly powder – 2tbsp
  • Nutmeg(grated) – 1/2tsp
  • Cloves 6nos
  • Tamarind pulp(soaked in 45ml warm water) – 1tsp
  • Soy sauce – 2tbsp
  • Water(As reqd) –
  • Oil(As reqd) –
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  1. For preparing chicken with soya sauce, grind the onions with garlic and chilly powder, to a fine paste.
  2. Heat oil in a vessel and saute the paste for sometime.(do not allow the paste to brown)
  3. Toss the chicken in with required water and allow it to cook on low flame.
  4. Stir in the nutmeg and cloves. Strain the tamarind juice and the soy sauce to the chicken. Allow it to cook till the chicken becomes tender.
  5. Chicken with soya sauce is ready. Serve with rice.
