Chilli Paratha
Spicy Paratha dish with capsicum and chick peas

Ingredients
  • Frozen Paratha(Bring to room temperature before cooking) – 6nos
  • Chick Peas(Garbanzo Beans) – 1can
  • Capsicum(julienned) – 1no
  • Tomato(cut into big chunks) – 2nos
  • Onion(julienned) – 1no
  • Ginger(Garlic paste – 1 tbsp) –
  • Chilly powder – 1tbsp
  • Coriander powder 2tbsp
  • Garam masala powder – 1tsp
  • Cinnamon –
  • Cloves
  • Bay leaf –
  • Lemon juice – 1/2tbsp
  • Butter – 1
  • Coriander leaves (for garnishing) –
  • Cashewnuts for garnishing –
Instructions
  1. Heat butter in a pan.
  2. Add the spices and saute.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste followed by onions and tomatoes.
  4. Add chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt.
  5. When it is done, add the cooked chick peas. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Cook the parathas as per the instructions on the package.
  7. Tear the parathas into bite size pieces and add this to the masala.
  8. Cook, until the paratha and masala get mixed together.
  9. Add lime juice and mix well.
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves and cashewnuts fried in ghee.
  11. :- Serve hot with onion raitha.
  12. Note: To make it more colorful you can add Yellow and Red Bell Peppers.
