- Chicken(chopped) - 1/2 kg
- Onions(finely chopped) - 3 nos
- Tomatoes(chopped) - 2 nos
- Coconut milk - 2 cups
- Coconut oil(As reqd) -
- Curry leaves - 3 springs
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
For the paste:
- Coconut(grated) - 1/2 cup
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 tbsp
- Dry red chilies - 4 nos
- Poppy seeds(Kasha kasha) - 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tbsp

Instructions
- For preparing coconut paste chicken gravy, blend together all the ingredients under paste. Keep it aside.
- Heat coconut oil in a vessel and add the paste. Fry till the oil separates.
- Toss in the curry leaves. Add in the chicken pieces, tomatoes, onions, turmeric powder and salt. Allow the chicken to cook with a closed lid.(add water if required)
- Coconut paste chicken gravy is ready. Serve hot with rice.
