Rice flour –

Sugar

(As reqd) –
Butter –

Cardamom
powder(A pinch, Elakka) –
Mustard seeds

red chillies

Coconut
(grated) –

Oil

Ghee
(For frying) –
Instructions
First bring to boil around 1/4 cup of
water
. Remove
water
from fire.
Stir in rice flour, butter,
cardamom
powder,
sugar
,
coconut
and required
salt
. Knead well into a soft dough adding extra boiled
water
if needed.
Heat
oil
in a pan, splutter
mustard seeds
and
red chillies
.
Pour it on the rice flour, Make small balls out of the dough and keep aside.
Place it in idly cooker, and cook for 10 minutes.
A tasty snack for kids and elders.
