Rice cooked with coriander leaves, onions and coconut

  1. 1) Cook the rice, till its half done.
  2. Heat 1 tsp of ghee in a pan.
  3. Saute half of the chopped onions, green chillies, garlic and cumin seeds, till onions turn light brown in colour.
  4. Grind the above along with coconut and coriander leaves. Keep aside.
  5. Heat the remaining ghee in a kadai.
  6. saute the onions, till golden brown.
  7. Add the coriander paste and turmeric powder and saute for 2 – 3 minutes.
  8. Add the half cooked rice and salt.
  9. Cover and cook, till its done.
  10. :- Serve hot with raitha or chutney.
  11. :- Can add 1 – 2 cloves while sauting onions for enhanced flavour.
