  • Curd – 3tbsp
  • Rice flour – 2tbsp
  • Chana dal(soaked for 3 hours and ground) – 1tbsp
  • All purpose flour(Maida) – 3tbsp
  • Soda powder(A small pinch) –
  • Onion(chopped) – 2tbsp
  • Green chilly(chopped) – 1no
  • Turmeric(A pinch) –
  • Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) – 1/4tsp
  • Coriander leaves – 2sprigs
  • Curry leaves 1spring
  • Pepper powder 1tsp
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  • Oil(For deep frying) –
  1. For preparing curd with chana bonda, mix together curd, rice flour, maida and required salt. Add sufficient water and make a smooth batter.
  2. Add the ground chana dal, soda powder, chopped onion, pepper powder, coriander leaves, green chilly, turmeric, cumin seeds, curry leaves and required salt. Mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a hard bottomed pan and drop scoops of the prepared batter into it.
  4. Deep fry the curd with chana bonda till golden brown in color.
  5. Curd with chana bonda, a yummy favorite with kids as well as elders, is ready. Serve hot with onion chutney.
