Easy Aapam Batter
An easy way to make batter for appam which is a kerala breakfast dish. Easy Aapam Batter is very simple dish but very tasty. Its favorite to all people no one dislike this appam. its very tasty to all non vegetarian curry and gravy like chicken, mutton and Beef. Easy Aapam Batter is very apt in all festival mode to makes this special recipe. this appam is made by raw rice. if not possible we can ponni rice too. we adding coconut to enhance richness of tasty appam. Here main of boiled red rice give that extra taste to softness to appam. Now we can detailed step to do this recipe.

  • White rice of any kind(I usually use idli rice. You can use ponni, sona masoori etc) – 1cup
  • Coconut(grated) – 1/2of
  • Boiled red rice – 1cup
  • Salt(Asc reqd) –
  • Sugar(optional) – 1tbsp
  1. For prepapring Easy Aapam Batter Soak the white rice overnight.
  2. Add soaked white rice, grated coconut and boiled red rice one by one and enough water and grind it well in a grinder (I usually prefer grinder than mixie, because when done in grinder the batter will be really soft).
  3. Once done, add sugar and salt and keep it for at least 8-9 hours preferably in a hot place, near to your kitchen hot plate.
  4. You can notice that without even adding yeast or baking soda, the batter will become fluffy.
