- Potato(whole) - 1/2 kg
- Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
- Dry fenugreek leaves powder/Methi leaf powder - 4 tbsp
- Garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1/2 tsp
- Oil(As reqd) -
- Salt(As reqd) -

- For preparing fenugreek with potato, pressure cook the whole potatoes and peel it. Cut it into cubes and keep it aside.
- Heat the oil in a vessel and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add in the cumin seeds and fry it for 1 minute on low flame.
- Then add in garlic paste, fenugreek powder, turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt. Fry it for 1 minute on low flame.
- Mix in the tomato puree and toss in the potatoes. Mix it well and allow it cook covered on a low flame for about 5 minutes.
- Remove cover, allow the water to evaporate and remove it from the flame.
- Fenugreek with potato is ready. Serve hot with chapathi.
