Field Bean Pumpkin Masala
this is purely south indian dish and this is good combination for rice

Ingredients
  • pealed and chopped pumpkin 1 cup –
  • boiled field bean / avarakka 1 cup –
  • Chopped Onion : 1 cup –
  • Red chilli 2 no. –
  • Salt to taste –
  • Sambar powder : 1 tsp –
  • Oil : 3 tsp –
  • Mustard : 1/2 tsp –
  • broken black gram 1/4 tsp –
  • Curry leaves 1 bunch –
  • Grated coconut : 3 tsp –
Instructions
  1. in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken black gram, curry leaves and red chilli
  2. add onion and saute it
  3. add chopped pumpkin and mix it and allow to boil for 2 mins
  4. add salt,and sambar powder and mix well
  5. now add field bean/ avarakkai and mix it for 1 min
  6. add water and allow to boil until the pumpkin get boiled and the water get dry
  7. now turn off the flame and add grated coconut
  8. field bean pumpkin masala is ready, serve with rice
