  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan.
  2. Add onion, green chillies, ginger, garlic and curry leaves and fry, till they turn brown.
  3. Add tomato and fry for 2 mins.
  4. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilly powder and salt and fry for 3 mins on a low flame.
  5. Add tamarind water and mix it well.
  6. Allow it to boil for 3 mins.
  7. Add fish pieces.
  8. Cover and allow it to cook on a low flame, till it becomes a thick gravy.
  9. Add coconut milk.
  10. Remove from the flame.
  11. Heat a little oil in a small frying pan.
  12. Fry small onions, till it becomes golden brown.
  13. Add the above into the curry.
