Fried Fish Steaks

  • Cat Fish Steaks – 10nos
  • Chilly powder – 3tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  • Ground ginger & garlic 1tsp
  • Lemon juice – 2tsp
  • Onion(sliced thinly, small) – 1/2of
  • Fresh coriander leaves(For garnishing) –
  • Oil(For deep frying) –
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  1. For preparing Fried Fish Steaks, first wash fish steaks well and drain water.
  2. Make a paste of chilly powder, turmeric powder, ground ginger and garlic, lemon juice and salt.
  3. Rub well the paste on each steak and marinate for one hour.
  4. Heat the oil in a large wok for deep frying.
  5. Fry each steak for about one minute on each side or until the colour changes to light brown, on a high flame.
  6. Set all the steaks on a baking pan.
  7. Heat the oven for 400 degrees and bake it for 15 minutes or until tender.
  8. Garnish with onion slices and coriander leaves.
  9. :- Serve Fried Fish Steaks hot with rice or as a snack. :- Deep frying on high flame will keep the moisture intact. It will be juicy and not dry.
