Sliced potatoes are dipped in a batter and fried in oil

  • Potatoes(cleaned and finely sliced) – 2nos
  • Corn flour – 1/2cup
  • Gram flour(Kadala mavu) – 1/2cup
  • Curry leaves(finely chopped) – 2springs
  • Chilly powder – 1/2tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  • Water(As reqd) –
  • Oil(As reqd) –
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  1. For preparing fried potatoes, take a bowl and mix in corn flour, gram flour, curry leaves, chilly powder, salt and turmeric powder with required water to make a thick batter.
  2. Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  3. Dip the potatoes in the batter and deep fry it in oil till brown in colour on low flame.
  4. Fried potatoes are ready. Serve hot.
