(soaked overnight) –

Coconut
(grated) –

Onions(finely chopped) –

Tomatoes(finely chopped) –

Ginger

garlic
paste – 1 tbsp) –
Chilly powder –

Instructions
For preparing green-gram
coconut
curry, heat
oil
a pressure cooker and fry the onions till golden brown.
Toss in the tomatoes and saute till the
oil
separates.
Add chilly powder,
curry leaves
,
garam masala
, coriander,
cumin powder
and
salt
. Fry it for sometime.
Then add
green gram
and enough
water
. Allow it to cook.
Meanwhile grind the
coconut
to make a fine paste. Pour it into the cooked
green gram
and allow it to simmer for sometime.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Green-gram
coconut
curry is ready. Serve with chapatti, bread, etc.
