  1. For preparing green-gram coconut curry, heat oil a pressure cooker and fry the onions till golden brown.
  2. Toss in the tomatoes and saute till the oil separates.
  3. Add chilly powder, curry leaves, garam masala, coriander, cumin powder and salt. Fry it for sometime.
  4. Then add green gram and enough water. Allow it to cook.
  5. Meanwhile grind the coconut to make a fine paste. Pour it into the cooked green gram and allow it to simmer for sometime.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  7. Green-gram coconut curry is ready. Serve with chapatti, bread, etc.
