  1. Soak peas for 8 hours.
  2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry cloves, onion, green chillies, ginger and garlic.
  3. When the onion turns brown, add tomato and cook for 1-2 min.
  4. Add soaked ones, potato, salt, required water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or until done.
  5. Grind coconut, cumin seeds and cashew nuts and add to the cooked peas.
  6. Temper with mustard seeds & curry leaves.
