  • Boiled rice – 3cups
  • Raw Rice 1cup
  • Urad dal(Uzhunu parippu) – 1cup
  • Salt 3
  1. For preparing idli – brahmin special, soak boiled rice and raw rice together in water.
  2. Soak urad dal in water separately.
  3. After 3 hours grind them separately.
  4. After grinding, mix both the items to make a batter(Kindly note that idli preparation can be made only after 6 to 7 hours of fermentation).
  5. Pour the batter in idli maker plates(idli tray). Oil the idli plate with gingelly oil if it is stainless steel.
  6. Steam the idli until done.
  7. Idli – brahmin special recipe, is ready.
