  • Unsalted butter – 80gm
  • Castor sugar 90gm
  • Milk 2tbsp
  • Vanilla Essence – 1/2tsp
  • Maida – 125gm
  • Baking soda – 1tsp
  • Custard powder – 40gm
  • Raspberry or mixed fruit jam – 100gm
  1. In a bowl, add all the ingredients except the jam.
  2. Mix the ingredients to get a smooth and soft dough.
  3. Using your hand, shape out a levelled spoon of dough into a ball.
  4. Do the same to the remaining of the dough.
  5. Place the shaped out balls onto a greased baking tray leaving adequate space between each ball.
  6. Using your finger or the end of a flat spoon, make a small indendation of 5 mm in the centre of each ball.
  7. In this space add about a 1/4 tsp of jam (make sure not to overfill it).
  8. Bake them in the oven at 350F or 175C for 15 mins.
  9. :- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container and preserved for a week.
