- Chickpeas / Kabuli Channa(soaked overnight) - 1/2 cup
- Coconut(grated) - 1 tbsp
- Dry red chillies(cut in half) - 2 nos
- Mustard seeds(Few) -
- Urad dal(Uzhunnu parippu) - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves(Few) -
- Cashew nuts(broken into small pieces, optional) -

- For preparing kadalai sundal recipe/chundal kadala, first cook the soaked chickpeas in a pressure cooker for 3-4 whistles until done but not mashed.
- Take a frying pan and heat oil. Splutter mustard seeds and then add dry red chillies, urad dal and curry leaves. Fry in low heat.
