Ingredients
Pearl spot fish(Karimeen) –
2
nos
Small onions(chopped, Kunjulli) –
½
cup
Ginger
(finely chopped) –
Green chillies
(finely chopped) –

Curry leaves
(A few) –
Thick
coconut
milk

Plantain leaves(A few, Vazha ela) –
For paste:-
Ginger
–

Garlic
pods –

Chilly powder –

Pepper powder

Turmeric powder

tsp
Curry leaves
(A few) –
Salt
(As reqd) –
Instructions
Grind together the ingredients for making the paste.
Marinate the fish with the above paste for an hour or so.
Coat a few heated plantain leaves with
oil
.
Place the marinated fish over it and place the whole thing in a frying pan.
Keep the flame on low, cover and cook, till it is done.
Heat up another frying pan.
Add the chopped small onions,
ginger
,
green chillies
and
curry leaves
and sautT lightly.
Place the cooked fish (without the plantain leaves) in the above pan and coat it with the sautTed masala.
:- See to it that the fish doesn¦t get broken. :- Do not discard the plantain leaves as u can use it while serving.
Add
coconut
milk
and mix well with the masala.
Adjust the level of
salt
.
Simmer for a few mins, till the all the
water
gets evaporated.
Wrap it in the plantain leaves while serving.
