  1. For preparing king prawn tempura, sift together maida, rice flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl beat the egg yolk and mix it with little cold water.
  3. Mix the egg mixture with the dry ingredients to make a smooth batter.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying vessel.
  5. Dip the king prawns in the batter and fry it in oil on low flame till it becomes golden brown in colour.
  6. Drain the fried prawns on paper towels.
  7. King prawn tempura is ready. Serve immediately.
