Lololikka Achar is a pickle prepared with the red cranberry. Pickles are an important delicacy present in almost all parts of the world. Lololikkas or loobikkas are abundant during summer season and you can prepare pickles and relish with noon day meals. Authentic Lololikka Achar or Pickle is mixed with an infusion of mustard oil, fenugreek and other spices. Lololikka Pickle is the best combo with curd rice. Keralites always relish spicy, hot pickles or achars, especially during lunch and dinner. Lololikkas are nutritious too, rich in vitamins, minerals and a power house of anti oxidants too. The slightly sweet and basically tangy nature of cranberries holds a distinct flavor and is branded a favorite with rice gruel too. Lololikkas are very prevalent in Kerala and you will notice at least one tree in almost all homes.

Ingredients
- Loobikka - 250 gms
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Curry leaves - 3-4
- Vinegar - 1-2 tsp
- Green chillies - 4 nos.
- Coconut oil - 2 tsp

Instructions
- Wash the Loobikka (Scram Berries) in normal water and keep them aside.
- Clean, wash and cut the Green Chillies into small pieces
- Heat Oil in a Cheenachatti, burst Mustard seeds in this hot oil and then add the Fenugreek seeds, Curry leaves, Green Chilli pieces also and stir it well. When colour of the mix turn into golden/brown, add Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder and Salt and stir the mix further
- Loobikka (Scram Berry) Achhaar is ready. This Achhaar can be served with Poori/Parotha/Cooked Rice etc. If this Achhaar is stored in an air tight container in fridge, it can be used for more days.
