Mango Pepper Pickle
My Mother-in-law has her own special recipe of making pickles,this Mango Pepper Pickle is one among that secret recipe.It is a spicy mango pickle made with Raw mango,pepper,cumin seed,fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds.

  • Raw mango 2kg
  • Ginger 50g
  • garlic 2clove
  • Pepper corn – 100g
  • Cumin seed – 1tbsp
  • Mustard – 1tbsp
  • Fenugreek seed – 2tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 2tsp
  • Vinegar – 5tbsp
  • Salt to taste –
  1. Dry roast pepper corn,cumin seed,mustard and fenugreek seeds for few seconds and grind it to make a fine powder.
  2. Dice the mangoes.remove the seeds.
  3. Add mango pieces in to boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Drain it.
  5. Heat oil in a vessel,splutter mustard seed and add ginger, garlic.saute it for 2-3 minutes in a low flame.
  6. Add mango,powdered pepper masala,turmeric powder and salt.
  7. Mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes in low flame.keep sauting.
  8. Add vinegar and remove from the flame.
  9. Let it cool and keep in air tight jar.
