Mango Phirni
Mango is one of the most versatile of fruits and can be added to a wide range of dishes from salads to desserts to main course. Before the mango season ends, I wanted to share another classic Indian dessert prepared with ripe mangoes. Mango Phirni a variation to the traditional Phirni recipe.Phirni is an Indian rice pudding like dessert.

  • Mango 1 no. –
  • Basmati rice 1/2 cup –
  • Milk 1/2 litre –
  • Sugar : 1/2 cup –
  • cardamom powder 2 tsp –
  • nuts to garnish –
  1. peel the skin of the mango and make Puree
  2. soak the basmati rice for 15 mins in water
  3. grind the rice to smooth paste
  4. boil the milk
  5. once the milk get boiled add the rice paste and stir continuously
  6. add sugar and stir it
  7. add cardamom powder and mix it
  8. once the rice get boiled well add mango puree and stir it
  9. stir continuously for 5 mins in low flame
  10. now mango phirni is ready to serve garnish with nuts
