Ingredients
Rava/sooji(250 g) –

cup
Sugar

cup
Milk
(750 ml) –

cups
Ghee
/Butter –

tbsp
Cardamom

Turmeric powder
(a pinch to add colour) –
Cashews –

Instructions
Take
milk
in a pan , add
sugar
.
Add powdered
cardamom
followed by the pinch of
turmeric powder
. Stir the
milk
occasionally and bring it to boil.
In a thick bottom pan add the
ghee
/ butter and roast the cashews and
raisins
, keep it aside.
Add rava to the remaining
ghee
and roast in low flame for about 4- 5 minutes till you get a nice fragrance.
Add the cashews and
raisins
.
Add the boiling hot
milk
, keep stirring continuously so that no lumps are formed.
Rava will absorbs the
milk
and whole mixture thickens. Transfer the
milk
kesari to serving bowl and garnish with
raisins
and cashews.
Serve hot Kesari.
