  • Mussels(cleaned) – 1/2kg
  • Potatoes(peeled and cubed) – 3nos
  • Chilly powder – 2tsp
  • Pepper powder 1tsp
  • Ginger(garlic paste – 1 tsp) –
  • Lemon juice – 1tbsp
  • Coriander leaves(finely chopped) – 2springs
  • Oil(As reqd) –
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  1. For preparing mussels on potato bed, marinate mussels in a mixture of chilly powder, pepper powder, ginger-garlic paste and salt over night.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the mussels on low heat till light brown in colour.
  3. Pressure cook the potatoes with salt and water.
  4. Drain the water and mash the potatoes with the back of the fork.
  5. Spread the mashed potato on a plate and sprinkle pepper powder.
  6. On top of the potato bed spread the fried mussels.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and lemon juice.
  8. Mussels on potato bed is ready. Serve hot.
