My Mom`s Yummy Kerala Meat Cutlet
Kerala Meat cutlet prepared with meat and mashed potatoes.

  • Meat – 1/4kg
  • Potato(steamed and mashed) – 3nos
  • Garlic pods(finely chopped, big) – 5nos
  • Ginger(finely chopped) – 1″piece
  • Green peppers(finely chopped) – 6nos
  • Onions(finely chopped) – 3nos
  • Garam masala powder(preferably Melam) – 2tsp
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  • Egg(beaten) – 1no
  • Vegetable oil for frying –
  1. Steam the potatoes and mash them.
  2. Cook the chunks of meat with salt and mince them.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a frying pan.
  4. Saute onions, ginger and garlic, till the onions turn brown.
  5. Add meat and garam masala and continue to saute for a minute or two.
  6. Cool the mixture for a while.
  7. Mix the above mixture with the mashed potatoes.
  8. Make small oval shaped cutlets off the above mixture.
  9. Dip them in beaten egg.
  10. Deep fry in oil.
Recipe Notes

You can also use bread crumbs to roll the cutlet after dipping in egg.
