  • Lemon(Naaranga)(cut into pieces, not lime) – 4cups
  • Salt 2tbsp
  • Chilly powder – 2tbsp
  • Fenugreek powder(Uluva) – 2tsp
  • Asafoetida powder(Kayam) – 1tsp
  • Green chillies(cut into small pieces) – 1/2cup
  • Water 1 3/4cups
  • Oil 3tbsp
  1. Mix lemon pieces and chilly pieces together.
  2. Mix all the spices together.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Add the spices and fry. Make sure it does not get burnt.
  5. Add water and bring it to a boil.
  6. Once it starts to boil well, keep boiling for about 30 seconds and switch off the flame.
  7. Add lemon and chilli pieces and mix well.
  8. Cover and allow it to cool.
