  1. Cook moong dal by adding turmeric powder and salt.
  2. When it is cooked, mash it well with a beater and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai and splutter cumin seeds.
  4. Add chopped onion, ginger, garlic ,green chilies and sautT till onion becomes light golden brown.
  5. Add cooked dal and mix it well.
  6. Add little water to get the required consistency.
  7. Keep it in a low flame for 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  9. :- Serve hot with roti or plain rice.
