  1. Remove the skin of the onion / potato, wash it and then cut it into round shape.

  3. Mix the kadala maavu with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt along with some water and make a paste (as of making dosa batter).
  4. Boil the oil in a pan.
  5. Dip the onion / potato slices in the batter and put it into the boiled oil and fry it well.

  7. Serve with tomato sauce / coconut chutney or pickle.
