  • Rice powder – 1cup
  • Chilly powder – 2tsp
  • Sesame seeds(Ellu) – 1/4tsp
  • Asafoetida powder(Kayaam) – 1/4tsp
  • Pappadam – 5nos
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  1. For preparing pappada vada, make a paste by mixing rice powder, salt, chilly powder, asafoetida and sesame seeds with required water.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan, dip pappadam in the above mixture and put into hot oil.
  3. Press frequently to get crispy pappadams. Fry till it become a golden brown.
  4. Pappada vada is ready. Serve as a snack.
