Ingredients
Boiled rice –
1 1/2
cup
Whole
black gram
/urad dal –

Fenugreek –

Fennel seeds

Plantain Flower
(a fistfull) –
Turmeric powder
(a pinch) –
Salt
(as needed) –
For seasoning: –
Oil

Ghee

Instructions
Wash the rice,
black gram
and fenugreek, and soak it for 4 hours.
Remove stamens (in Tamil it is called as kallan and kullan) from the
plantain flower
.
Grind the rice,
plantain flower
, fennel and red chilli.
After grinding add
salt
and
turmeric powder
to the batter and allow it to ferment for 3 hours.
In a kadai heat
oil
and add the ingredients for seasoning (as listed above), and add it to batter.
Then make as dosas, cook well on both sides by adding
oil
/
ghee
.
Healthy and delicious
plantain flower
dosas ready.
Serve it hot with
coconut
chutney.
