Ingredients
Vermicelli
(Semiya) –
1
cup
Onion
–
1/2
Grated
Carrot
–
1/2
cup
Peas –
1/2

Green chillies

Lemon juice –

Sugar
(A pinch) –
Salt
(As reqd) –
Grated
Coconut
–

Coriander leaves (for garnishing) –
For the Seasoning: –
Turmeric powder
–
1/2

Mustard seeds

Black gram
(Uzhunnuparippu) –

Instructions
Take
vermicelli
and break it into small pieces.
In a pot, add about a cup of
water
and bring it to boil.
Add
vermicelli
into it.
Boil for another minute and turn off the heat. Let it be there for another 2-3 minutes.
Drain
water
and pour cold
water
on
vermicelli
. Again drain
water
and set aside.
Heat
oil
in a pan.
Add the ingredients for the seasoning.
Add
onion
and slit chillies. Fry till it becomes soft.
Add grated
carrot
, fresh peas and keep stirring occasionally until all done.
Finally, add the cooked
vermicelli
into it and mix nicely.
Add
salt
,
sugar
and lemon juice.
Garnish with grated
coconut
and coriander leaves.
:- Serve hot.
