  • Milk 3litres
  • Sugar 250-300gm
  • Saffron 2pinches
  • Cardamom powder(Elakka) – 1tsp
  • Almonds (chopped)(Badam) – 4-5nos
  • Pistachios (chopped)(Pista) – 4-5nos
  1. Boil and cool the milk till warm.
  2. Set the warm milk into curd.
  3. When firmly set, spread onto a thin muslin cloth and hang till all the water has drained out completely. This takes about 5-6 hours. The curd should be dry and grainy.
  4. Smoothen out this mixture with a spoon or spatula.
  5. Add sugar and beat well till it attains a creamy texture.
  6. Soak the saffron in warm milk and stir into the sugar-yoghurt mixture.
  7. Add the cardamom powder.
  8. Garnish with almond and pista slivers.
  9. :- Serve chilled.
