Solkadhi is a type of curry usually had with rice or sometimes drunk after the meals. Popular in the Konkan region of India, it is made from
coconut
milk
and kokum. It’s known for it digestive properties

Ingredients
For the kokum curry:
Kokum(dissolve in 1 cup of
water
) –

Coconut
milk
–

cups
Salt
(as required) –
garlic
green chilli paste –
½
tsp
Sugar
–

For the tempering:
Mustard seeds
–
½
tsp
Curry leaves
–
5
to
Kashmiri chillies –

nos
Oil

Instructions
Soak the kockums in half cup of
water
for 30 minutes.Crush and squeeze the kokum in your hand.
Strain the
water
and through away the kockums. Add
coconut
milk
.
garlic
green chilli paste,
salt
and
sugar
.Stir well.
Heat
oil
in a pan add
mustard seeds
. * Add broken
red chillies
and
curry leaves
fry this for few seconds.Pour this tempering kokum
coconut
milk
mixture. Stir well .
Sol Kadhi is served chilled or lukewarm.[ without tempering we can serve this solkadi garnish with coriander leave]
